This is a call for expressions of interest for the next Issue of “લેંગસ્કેપ”, ટેરેલીંગુઆનું merભરતું મેગેઝિન જે આ પ્રસંગે સેક્રેડ નેચરલ સાઇટ્સ ઇનિશિયેટિવના સહયોગથી બનાવવામાં આવ્યું છે..
Please send your your idea in one or two paragraphs to the Langscape Editor, Ortixia Dilts: ortixia@terralingua.org, before June the 15th so that we can solicit full contributions as soon as possible. We aim to have all full contributions in by the 15th of July.
Sacred natural sites are sources of biocultural diversity marked by a distinct spiritual dimension. The experience of sacred lands has since long set them apart from development and enabled the conservation of biodiversity and unique habitats for wild animals and plants. In addition the rich cultural practices and religious beliefs related to these places constitute of some of the most profound relationships that humans have with the earth.
We are looking for interviews, articles, કેસ સ્ટડીઝ, poetry, expressions of art and photographs with a maximum of 1500 words (excluding references) in a MS Word doc format. Photographs and illustrations in a 300dpi jpg. format.
We are pleased to be working with Guest Editors Bas Verschuuren and Robert Wild, Editors of the book Sacred Natural Sites (Earthscan 2010) for this issue. Bas and Rob are Co- chair and Chair to the IUCN Specialist Group on Cultural and Spiritual Values of Protected Areas and Coordinators for the Sacred Natural Sites Initiative www.sacrednaturalsites.org
